Job Title: Installation Emergency Manager/EOC Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Disaster/EM or a related field.
· Minimum of ten (10) years of field experience in disaster/emergency management or related fields, or fourteen (14) years of related field experience.
· Completion of AFEM courses (JCAQP3E931 00AB, J9AQA3E931 00RB, J9AQA3E931 00RA, JCABP3E931 01AA, J6ANW3E951 00AA, J6ANW3E971 00AA) or equivalent.
· Prior attendance of NIMS 300/400 (X3AZR3EXXX 0N1A) or equivalent course desired.
· Emergency Manager level certification within the AF Certified Emergency Manager (AFCEM) Program desired.
· Familiarity with DAFI 10-2501 and AFMAN 32-1007 requirements.
· Strong knowledge of emergency management principles, procedures, and best practices.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage complex emergency situations.
· Proficiency in emergency management systems, software, and technologies.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and willingness to stay updated on industry trends and developments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all emergency management activities at the installation.
· Develop and implement comprehensive emergency management plans and procedures in compliance with DAFI 10-2501 and AFMAN 32-1007.
· Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including base personnel, local authorities, and emergency response agencies.
· Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
· Maintain and update the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
· Lead and manage emergency response operations during incidents, including directing resources, coordinating communication, and ensuring effective response efforts.
· Conduct training and drills to enhance the preparedness and response capabilities of personnel involved in emergency management.
· Monitor and assess emergency situations, providing timely and accurate information to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
· Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in emergency management and incorporate them into planning and operations.
· Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including DAFI 10-2501 and AFMAN 32-1007.
· Prepare and submit reports on emergency management activities, including incident summaries and lessons learned.
· Foster a culture of preparedness, resilience, and proactive response within the installation community.
