Position Description:
We are searching for a Security Architect Manager. The Security Architect Manager is responsible for determining security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaises with the development groups and the networking groups to define the security architecture and posture for new applications and/or networking standards.
- Responsible for the security design and architecture of cloud solutions, including ongoing security hygiene maintenance.
- Managerial responsibilities for the security arc hitects and application security engineers
- Monitors security logs and generates reports. Creates and maintains records on security incidents as necessary.
- Maintains network vulnerability and application scanning products. Maintains intrusion-prevention systems and other security-related products.
- Communicates with users, vendors, and other IT personnel on security and data privacy related issues.
- Assists staff with resolution to certain technical problems. Confers with other personnel in resolving problems involving procedural and technical matters.
- Researches problems and recommends solutions. Provides resource estimates and progress reports; serves on committees to develop technical standards and direction; and meets with FCBT users and technical staff to determine information needs and requirements.
- Ensures that all work is accurate and in compliance with departmental or project quality standards.
- Participates in training an d professional development sessions.
- Assists with vendor communications; research for networking projects; management of security monitoring systems; responses to requests for information; routine audits of firewall configuration entries; and interactions with law enforcement agencies.
- Leads the data privacy initiative, ensuring that incidents generated by the DLP tool are responded to in a timely manner.
- Review security designs for existing and proposed information systems to validate compliance with Farm Credit Bank of Texas information security policies, standards, and practices.
- Review and evaluate aspects of IT security, operational security, systems security, and software security

It is an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:
Bachelor's Degree, Technical School, or equivalent information systems training and fifteen (15) or more years of experience in information security. Certified Information System Security Profession (CISSP) is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of design/implementation of security and architectures, ensuring the appropriate security guidelines, policies, standards, and procedures are in place to adequately address threats and vulnerabilities.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud architecture and security principles.
- Professional knowledge of security products: IPS/IDS, Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, SIEM, Event Monitoring, Anti-Malware, encryption, and network topology.
- Physical Security experience.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
