International Sourcing Manager (onsite)

TITLE: International Sourcing Manager 

LOCATION: Onsite- North East, Indianapolis

DESCRIPTION:

This key position will be primarily responsible for International energy storage procurement and will be heavily involved with inventory management. The position includes supervisory duties for the procurement team. The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, have a minimum of 5 years of experience in progressive supply chain roles, show a proficiency in best procurement practices, and understand the basics of manufacturing materials. 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Manage supply chain
• Manage Production/Inventory control
• Supervise Procurement reporting
• Drive dual sourcing initiatives
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms
• Supervise Procurement Month End close activity
• Examine bids
• Establish/approve accounts/terms
• Negotiate blanket purchase orders, when necessary
• Interact with senior and plant management to ensure alignment of supply needs
• Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
• Drive Procurement forecasting and goal setting
• Understand and drive organizational behavior related to macro-economic events (tariffs, etc)
• Support other initiatives/activities as needed.
  

QUALIFCIATIONS:

• 5 years’ experience in progressive supply chain roles
• Time management & Planning/Organizing:  Ability to work in a very fast paced environment, while ensuring continuity of supply for manufacturing parts and accuracy of inventory.  Prioritize and follow-up effectively both internally and externally.  
• Business acumen & savvy:  Use processes to build and improve work.  Understands the entire procurement and inventory control process, from initial vendor selection to delivery execution, including PPAP, cycle counting best practices, and other key metrics and processes.  
• Initiative and teamwork:  Comfortable and effective in interacting with all areas and levels of the organization to drive organizational goals and objectives.  
• Communication:  Strong verbal and written skills.  Results oriented and able to effectively drive towards desired outcomes. 
• Technical expertise/knowledge:  Working knowledge of the entire Procurement and Inventory Control process. 
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite of Office products. 
• Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics) experience is a plus.
