Position: Mechanical Designer
Location: Alpharetta, GA area
Contract Duration: 6 months to 1 year, with potential for extension
Citizenship Requirement: Must be a US Citizen. Security clearance is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create detailed mechanical designs and drawings.
- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and comply with industry standards.
- Interpret and work with customer drawings to meet specific project requirements.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure accuracy and quality in design specifications.
- Produce precise and high-quality technical drawings as needed.
- Occasionally assist in the fabrication of hardware components in the shop to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is mandatory.
- Strong experience in designing for manufacturability, with a solid understanding of the end-to-end design process.
- Ability to work effectively with customer drawings and translate them into practical designs.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T to ensure precise communication of design intent.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders.
