Sales Compensation Analyst

Fastly is looking for an Analyst, Sales Compensation, In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the organization's sales compensation function. This would entail designing compensation plans, administering commission payouts, responding to seller queries, and configuring the Xactly system. You will partner with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and HR. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and will play a key role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our commission process. This role will be part of a three person team and will report to the Director, Sales Compensation.

What You'll Do

  • Compensation plans: Analyze commission plan improvements. Test plan changes before implementation. Communicate plan details to the sales organization.
  • Commission payments: Aggregate employee, quota, and actual data. Run commissions calculations through Xactly. Resolve calculation and/or data errors. Issue payment instructions to Payroll and accrual report to Accounting.
  • Seller support: Field inquiries from sales representatives. Respond to request for information. Resolve issues such as exceptions to plan.
  • Xactly system: Configure the system to compensation plan structure. Work with consultants to adapt the tool to new requirements.
  • Business partnership: Collaborate with Sales Operations, Accounting, Payroll, and HR to ensure a seamless cross-functional interlock

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a quantitative discipline
  • 3 years professional experience as a Commissions Analyst
  • Fluency in Excel required experience with Xactly preferred, knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • The ability to deliver high-quality work products that are accurate, timely, and insightful
  • A record of building relationships with Sales, Finance, and HR
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to grow with the role/company

In accordance with applicable law, Fastly's minimum base pay for this role if hired in Colorado is $66,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fastly's equity plan. Final offer amount will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations. Note that this role is available to candidates outside of Colorado and different minimum compensation may apply.
