A large portion of our 27 locations nationwide are owned and operated by individuals who started as kitchen staff right here in one of our locations!
Our staff receives comprehensive training in all aspects of the operation. Learning the grill, the fryers, the register, the sandwich line, and MUCH more is expected of each team member.
The motto at the Fat Shack is late night done right, and we are open as late as 3AM on the weekends. Late night availability is required at this time, as some of our shifts will have us working as late as 4AM.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Authorization to work in the United States
Have reliable transportation
Clean professional appearance
Commitment to teamwork
Enthusiasm and a high energy level
Possess suitable communication skills to create a positive experience with our customers
Excellent customer service skills required, with an ability to up-sell
Possess basic math skills and accurate money handling skills
Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous
Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
High stress tolerance -- thrives in a high-pressure environment
Restaurant experience preferred, but not required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must successfully attend and complete any and all other required training in compliance with local and state regulations, such as food service certifications, and maintain such certifications during employment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain sanitary and safe customer areas
Clean and maintain equipment and work area associated with the job function
Restock and replenish products and supplies
Adhere to all health requirements and food safety standards required by company policies and procedures
Cooking food on a flattop grill, hot fryers, and preparing sandwiches
Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change
Cross-train for other positions as needed such as taking orders and order preparation
CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, twist, reach above or below, bend, and kneel
Occasionally lift or move objects that weigh between 15 and 40 lbs.
Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, knives, fryers and potentially hazardous equipment'
