This three-month paid returnship as part of our “Deux You” Career Re-Launch Program will refresh your technical skills while you work with a leader in the automotive industry. In addition to key job responsibilities, we provide technical training, professional development, and peer mentoring with full access to the Sales community at Faurecia and the possibility of becoming a full-time employee after completion of the program.
- The Fall 2022 Cohort will run from September 12, 2022 - December 20, 2022.

- Minimum Program Qualifications:
- To qualify for the “Deux You” Career Relaunch Program, you should:
- Currently be on a voluntary break of at least two years or more
- Have a minimum of five years of professional work experience
- Have an interest in returning to work in a full-time position
- Have an ability to attend the “Deux You” Orientation at Faurecia Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI

Position Summary:
Integrated within the Sales Organization of a given Customer Business Unit (“CBU”), the Sales Engineer is responsible for the Sales development of the assigned portfolio of products, for a delimited perimeter (Program, Serial Life, Acquisitions) within a Division / Region.
Responsibilities:
- Regular visits with preparation and minutes
- Build relationships with key staff in the client organization
- Monitor the level of customer satisfaction at regular intervals or after each significant step
- Prepare the commercial offers to answer on due time to the Customer requests
- Get a good understanding of the costing files
- Formalize the offer with the appropriate wording
- Understand and apply the guidelines proposed by the hierarchy regarding contractual management
- Detailed understanding of piece price, tooling and D&D impact
- Follow the Variable Cost Margin of the products
- Prepare and follow commercial productivity proposals
- Understanding and commercial management of local economics (inflation, exchange rate)
- Understanding and rigorous implementation of the Sales Administration guidelines & processes (purchase orders, invoices, terms of payment, overdues)
- Commercial management for Spare Parts
- Act as Program Sales Leader – Part of the Program core team
- Understanding of the Program Business Plan and associated commercial levers
- Follow the profitability of the Program
- Part of the Acquisition Team
- Understanding of the Business Plan & RFQA
- Preparation and update of the commercial offers following hierarchy’s instructions
- Coach and train new team members
- Preparing and understanding piece price, tooling, & D&E breakdowns (this coincides with offer/ ECR preparation)
- Interfacing with and utilizing the customer deployed tools (online portals, standard documents, etc.)
- Maintaining a thorough and up to date cash tracking for his/her respective program and reporting out updates to the team regularly
- Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
- Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site

Position Specifications
Authorities:
- Send quotes to Customer
- Can make commercial agreement with the Customer
- Propose and get validated the targeted pricing and the negotiation path / tactics to convince the customer
- Prepare and negotiate the commercial answers to the customer ECRs (“Engineering Changes Requests”)
Knowledge / Skills:
- Fluent in English and if necessary, in the Customer language
- Understands client business, products and key competitors
- Strong Microsoft pack office skills (PPT,) and reporting skills
- Comfortable with financials
- Strong communication and presentation skills, and capacity of empathy
- Business international mindset
- Results orientation, Client orientation, and Team player
- Good analytical skills and Accountability
Education / Experience:
- Master’s degree in business/engineering
- Recommended prior experience in Sales or Engineering role
- Knowledge of the plastic molding process recommended
- A current career break from finance of two or more years, required
