Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Create and edit letters, memoranda, briefs, pleadings, agreements, presentations, spreadsheets, and other legal documents from form documents, notes, and handwritten materials;
- Assist attorneys to prepare for transaction closings, including maintenance of closing documents, preparation of signature packets, and creation of closing sets;
- Assist with due diligence efforts related to transactions, including document retrieval and good standing certificate requests from Secretary of State offices;
- Assist with corporate matters, such as entity formation, UCC searches, state corporate filings, and obtaining EINs;
- Handle stock issuances and transfers, including preparation and issuance of stock certificates, and maintaining stock transfer ledgers;
- Prepare Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities for legal filings;
- Copy and assemble exhibits and witness files, trial binders, and court submissions;
- Open and maintain filing pertaining to particular clients and matters;
- Assist in document review and production; and
- Communicate, both verbally and in writing, with clients, court reporters, and internal personnel.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required
- 3 years of paralegal experience
- Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines while remaining calm and focused
- Exceptional knowledge and experience in working with PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word, and other Microsoft applications
Salary : $29 - $30
