Fay Furniture, Inc, an established family-owned pawn shop and furniture store, is seeking a Sales & Lending Associate to immediately join our team. As a key team member, you have an opportunity to grow with the business while experiencing personal and financial growth.
The ideal candidate has an excellent work ethic, possesses a strong desire to help customers meet their needs, is proficient in building strong relationships, ability to quickly learn workflow procedures, and loves solving problems.
Primary duties include:
- Assist customers with their needs by assessing merchandise value and come to a mutual agreement regarding various pawn items
- Setting up 90-day collateral loans (automated process)
- Merchandising
- Selling and purchasing merchandise
- Organizing and tagging items
- Maintaining a clean and neat store for merchandise to be displayed
- Posting retail items online
- Performing online research
- Follow company policies as well as local and state laws
Requirements:
- Self-starter who is motivated and energized to make things happen
- Strong desire to serve customers and work with people
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of various computer-based programs
- Ability to: follow instructions, multi-task, problem solve
- Potentially assist customers with loading items up to 50 pounds
- Must have integrity, good references, pass a background check, and willing to work with a great hard-working team
- Knowledge of various gaming, pc’s, tv’s, etc. is a benefit
