The Credit Card Product Manager is responsible for managing Farm Bureau Bank's credit card strategy, portfolio of products and related programs and services in support of corporate strategic objectives across consumer and business credit cards. Responsible for the development, design, enhancement and implementation of existing and new credit card products and programs, including features, integration with other products, benefits and pricing, and value proposition to spur and enhance profitable revenue growth for the Bank.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and create opportunities from customer insights, key performance indicators, and financials to drive improvements in all stages of the product lifecycle (acquisition through retention) and customer experience.
  2. Product P&L and product road map to ensure that short-term and long-term financial goals are defined, monitored, and successfully delivered.
  3. Develop, refine, and manage the product development process from conception through ideation, design, build, experimentation, release, and analysis.
  4. Identify, gather, and organize member and agent insights, internal innovation ideas, marketplace analysis and competitive trends to drive new concepts.
  5. Lead and/or support end-to-end cross-functional projects to develop and launch new solutions/capabilities/products in the payments and retail lending space.
  6. Evaluate and define new value propositions and enhancements to existing value propositions for commercial viability.
  7. Ownership of credit card vendor relationships including but not limited to agent/processor, credit bureaus and processing networks.
  8. Lead and/or support various credit card and retail lending product related components onboarding or updates in areas of Risk, Credit, payments journey, digital experience, rewards, etc.
  9. Lead direct to consumer acquisition and lifecycle campaigns on all products, working closely with the Sales, Marketing, Analysis departments and external vendors for implementation and fulfilment.
  10. Collaborate with Operations and influence all internal teams to ensure strategies drive product engagement and service as well as opportunities to improve origination and servicing efficiencies.
  11. Partner closely with the Customer Care and Sales teams to evolve the servicing model and ensure that the right tools and training are in place to deliver high quality member service.
  12. Build rigorous business cases, including alternate go-to-market scenarios.
  13. Drive day-to-day prioritization of work, troubleshoot reported issues.
  14. Explore and work with third parties to identify suitable and beneficial partnerships.
  15. Support the day-to-day needs of the department by providing data analysis, project deliverables and operational needs to achieve strategic objectives.
  16. Support and contribute to all product management related bank projects and initiatives.
  17. Host internal departmental prioritization meetings, log, maintain, and track project deliverables and milestones against Farm Bureau Banks vision and strategy.
  18. Identify full impact of guideline and product changes and ensure that all relevant stakeholders implement necessary changes.
  19. Collaborate with stakeholders, including but not limited to Lending, IT, Marketing, Compliance, Loan Servicing, Legal, Accounting/Finance and Internal Audit to thoughtfully elicit business needs, gather requirements, define project goals, and offer solutions.
  20. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or Marketing, MBA preferred.
  2. Five (5) plus years relevant experience, preferably with direct credit cards/payments industry experience.
  3. Five (5) plus years of Product Management or relevant experience.
  4. Demonstrated success in driving innovation and change with a focus on the customer.
  5. Exposure to, or experience in, financial analysis, including financial reporting, data analysis and business case development.
