The First Databank (FDB) is seeking a Product Owner in the Indianapolis Office. The Product Owner will work collaboratively with the Product Manager to set, prioritize, and evaluate the work generate by the software team to develop innovative, industry leading software products for the FDB Product Line.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for articulating and translating product vision into features. Communicates the product strategy effectively to key stakeholders and team members.
  • Specify business requirements and user stories for current and future products and enhancements based on market research and customer input.
  • Manages product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement) and supports defining minimum viable product (MVP).
  • Refines work scope with business partners and scrum teams to align on objectives around time to production, effort and scope.
  • Works day to day with the scrum teams clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating and gaining alignment around feature or product strategy.
  • Drive product development of new products and enhancements across development teams (primarily Software Engineering) through market requirements, product definition, and market positioning.
  • Able to make difficult and quick decisions. Able to influence a diverse group of stakeholders-strong leadership skills.
  • Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress. Strong experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Organizational and planning skills needed to guide various product management and development processes
  • Interpersonal skills required to collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, PowerBI knowledge a plus

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Understanding of healthcare provider workflow is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the integrated drug information industry or health information technology industry is required. Experience with EHR software is strongly preferred.
  • Three years of product management experience is preferred. Experience with information technology and products is strongly preferred.
