What are the responsibilities and job description for the NYC Warehouse Lead position at Feather?

The Feather Warehouse Lead directly assists the Warehouse Manager in many aspects of daily operations, particularly with people or warehouse flow management, while also performing daily tasks alongside Warehouse Associates, including receiving, cleaning, repair, staging and assembly of Feather furniture.
What you’ll be doing:
- Direct warehouse staff and carry out core Fulfillment Center processes. These currently include the following (but may evolve):
- Inbound receiving, labeling, and stocking of new items
- Inbound receiving of items reclaimed from customers
- Intensive cleaning and repair of reclaimed items
- Picking, staging and assembly of items to be delivered to customers
- Loading and unloading of trucks in collaboration with Delivery teams
- Supervise and train associates on standards for quality, cleanliness and efficiency
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory location and condition, per Feather’s record-keeping processes; Lead weekly and bi-annual inventory counts
- Store inventory in an organized, safe fashion that preserves item condition.
- Maintain stock levels of consumable items such as cleaning and repair supplies

What you need to be successful:
- 1+ years in warehouse operations
- Extraordinary attention to detail related to product quality and cleanliness
- Ability to lift & move heavy furniture with help from dollies, hand-trucks, and team members
- Experience exemplifying the above mentioned leadership behaviors
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with furniture assembly/stocking/cleaning
- Familiarity with working in software and spreadsheeting tools, including Excel
