Position Summary: Under limited supervision, responsible for all aspects of moderate to complex initiatives to include planning, monitoring, and managing internal projects from initiation to completion. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, costing, resource plans, and status reports. Responsible for ensuring project results meet requirements regarding System and/or Bank's goals and standards for quality, reliability, schedule and cost. Provides analytical guidance to project team and recommends action. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Position is typically used in the following business areas: Facilities, Retail Payments Office (RPO), and function offices. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the management of projects on a System and/or Bank-wide scale from initiation to completion. Consults with project managers and project teams to establish appropriate implementation strategy to include planning, designing communications, training development, implementation budgeting, delivery methods, and/or timing/bundling for moderate to complex initiatives. Leads project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, and troubleshooting for assigned projects. Manages multiple projects with accountability for monitoring performance, recommending schedule changes, cost adjustments and/or resource additions and ensuring quality and timely completion of project deliverables. Responsible for communicating with management regarding the status of assigned projects. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Contributes to and/or creates reports, documentation and/or management presentations related to projects and initiatives. Examines and analyzes information, often of a highly technical or specialized nature, to arrive at solutions or recommendations and resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines and processes. Prepares Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and manages and reviews the work of consultants, contractors, and vendors. Obtains approval for project funding and tracks expenses from start to completion of the project. Performs inspections of completed work to confirm compliance with contract documents. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Provides assistance and guidance to junior project managers, reviews work, and may provide work direction. Provides guidance and direction to contractors, consultants and vendors and manages ongoing relationships. Performs other duties as assigned or requested, including operational and administrative functions.
