The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, San Francisco branch, is seeking a Electrical Specialist to add to our team. The Facilities Electrical Specialist will assist the Engineering Manager and have ownership of the bank's electrical infrastructure. The specialist may be expected to perform duties as may be consistent with the functions of Electrical Specialist and which are assigned to him/her by the building management. Oversees, directs, and performs installation of various electrical devices and performs maintenance, service, inspection and repairs on all electrical systems.

Work schedule: A typical work week consists of Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Shifts starting time are typically from 6:00AM to 2:30PM but are flexible. Applicants must be flexible and available for 24/7 emergency on-call as need. Some occasional weekend work as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must be willing to assist with HVAC, plumbing, door locks, and other related tasks as needed. Some tasks may fall outside the normal duties of an electrician. May operate calibration or test equipment, meters, power tools, stationary shop tools, forklifts, soldering and refrigeration equipment.
Act as the Bank's electrical expert on all construction and equipment upgrade projects.
Conducts, supervises and/or directs troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs of specialty building electrical and mechanical systems.
Participate in the installation of new or overhaul of existing compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, motors, electric control systems, safety controls, and other related equipment and devices used to control temperature and air conditioning systems.
Contacts and performs walkthroughs with vendors, engineers and contractors for cost estimates. Makes recommendations for and oversees building repairs, upgrades or maintenance as directed by management.
Develops scopes of work and works with procurement to create contracts for work done by outside vendors.
Ability to work in a Team environment and willing to train other staff when needed.
Desired Experience Traits:
6 years of relevant education/ or experience in electrical matters; Education, Licensing, Certification, Project Management Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred, substitute appropriate experience and/or license and/or credentials.
Education/Training/Certification/Management Experience
Work Experience, Education, Licensing, Certification can be combined and/or substituted in any combination to allow the Bank to hire the candidate with the best overall skillset. The following are examples that may be applicable, others considered:
Licensed Electrician and/or Licensed Electrical Contractor
Medium Voltage Switch Gear/Emergency Power Generation Focused Technology
Understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA MTS, ArcFlash Analysis and Associated requirements
Understanding of electrical system components, replacement strategies, and understanding of protocols for building shutdowns with complex and sensitive operational requirements
Understanding of the following systems - ATS, UPS, STS, PDU, VFD, MCC's.
Operate calibration or test equipment, meters, power tools, pipe cutters, stationary shop tools, spray equipment, forklifts, soldering and welding equipment, refrigeration service equipment and various other hand or power tools.
Base Salary Range: Min: $94,800.00 - Mid: $123,100.00 - Max: $151,400.00 (Location: San Francisco)
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
