Under limited supervision, this position supports the planning and implementation of research, including; usability studies, ethnographic field studies, eye tracking studies, competitive evaluations, participatory design sessions, focus groups, surveys, in-depth interviews, card sorting, gorilla usability tactics and/or similar approaches. Communicates data driven insights and recommendations in a persuasive manner to influence/drive decision-making and problem solving processes. Supports creative collaboration and business decision making internally, working with key stakeholders including design, IT, key marketing, product development, and operations.
Performs activities/roles such as:
- Frames and reframes business challenges to focus design efforts
- Empathizes with customers to discover pain points and unmet needs
- Prototypes and tests concepts with customers
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Marketing Research, Design Research, User Research, or related business discipline. One (1) year experience in research, research techniques, creating and running various research methods, interpreting results and developing data-driven recommendations. Strong collaboration, communications and analytical skills. A directly related Master’s Degree is equivalent to two (2) years experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.

This position can be domiciled in the following locations: Collierville, TN, Plano, TX, or Pittsburgh, PA.
