Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a Publication and Editorial Support in Panama City, FL. Active Secret Clearance and a United States Citizenship are required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming position contingent on contract award.
Provide advisory and assistance support to maximize Air Force Civil Engineering capabilities in Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force (BEEF), RED HORSE management, Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) technical expertise, Manpower and Equipment Force Packages (MEFPAK), Munition User Functional Management (MUFMS), and expeditionary facilities/equipment/energy modernization programs in support of base and contingency operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical, engineering, and planning advisory and d assistance services in support of the AFCEC Readiness Directorate, Expeditionary Engineering Division. Required Services include Information Management Support, Project Management Support, and Strategic Planning. Some representative tasks are listed below.
- Possess the expertise and capability to use the Automated Data Processing (AD) systems utilized by AFCEC and its customers.
- Interface with AF agencies and conduct analyses to assist Air Force personnel in preparing and revising key documents and publications for approval through Air Force processes. Memorandums, bullet background papers (BBP), business case analysis (BCA), Air Force Instructions (AFI), Air Force Handouts (AFH), Air Force pamphlets (AFPAM), and tactic technics & procedures (TTP) are some examples of such products.
- Research, draft and coordinate new publications for government approval as required.
- Update and develop draft plans by reviewing AF-provided publications and interfacing with AF, DoD, other governmental agencies and maintain records sets meeting AFI and inspections (internal and external) requirements.
- Develop, update, and refine draft plans affecting AF engineer readiness, O&M, and environmental functions and provide recommendations to Air Force personnel for action.
- Advise in the development of publications, plans, programs, directives, doctrine, procedures, policy and guidance for AFCEC/CXX.
- Assist in the dissemination of information gained on a project or program specific basis to all Air Force programs.
- Store, transmit, evaluate and/or present data generated in support of AFCEC mission.
- Perform data collection in support of AFCEC’s programs and goals.
- Collect data on services AFCEC provides to its customers daily.
- Analyze and update reports regarding findings as they transpire and change.
- Provide technical support and data collection for the Expeditionary Facilities and Equipment Modernization Program with primary focus on ADR, BEAR, and HIPPO.
- Assist in digitally design and producing visual media products, such as PowerPoint presentation material, in support of mission briefings and the AFCEC mission.
- Advise and assist the Government at readiness related meetings worldwide through conference attendance, delivering materials and equipment.
- Provide assistance and deliver strategic planning tools such as change management in business redirection and enhancement; business management techniques; identification and deployment of measurement systems; program analysis, planning and development; process mapping, benchmarking and process migration and in-depth requirements analyses.
- Facilitate and support efforts to develop, establish, implement, and sustain leading-edge techniques.
- Other services include conference/meeting support, statutory and regulator requirements support; recommendations on innovative technology improvements; support in all phases of the Joint Construction Management System; technical research and evaluation of energy-efficient systems; development of training products and fielding plans associated with modernization program; validation of equipment, material, and vehicle fielding issues; support for onsite training; logistics planning for modernization solutions; development of Unit-Type Codes (UTCs), development of funding requirements, cost estimates, and Master Schedules; and acquisition support.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by ASIRTek and/or required by ASIRTek’s Client(s)/Customer(s).
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Experience/Education:
- Associates degree or equivalent
- 15 years minimum experience mandatory working Air Force Civil Engineer PrimeBEEF/RED HORSE/BEAR programs.
- Strong background in editorial and publications development including those used by DoD or other agencies of the Federal Government.
- Working knowledge of how to analyze, design, and develop publications and training materials.
- Comprehensive understanding of and prior experience in the management of large, multi-user publication systems.
- Proficiency in computer skills to facilitate maintaining websites, and in the processing of documents by using of computer software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Adobe Photoshop.
Clearance:
- Must be a US Citizen and an Active Secret Clearance.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).

Salary : $65,500 - $83,000
