The objective of this role is to provide a policy writer to the Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in Washington, D.C. The candidate must have comprehensive hands-on experience in composing, editing, clarifying, and maintaining policies, procedures, regulations. The Candidate must be able to create and implement policy-related communication strategies and be a master in Microsoft SharePoint.
Duties Entail:
Drafts, writes, and edits the budget and ancillary policies, manuals, newsletters, websites, and other compositions as needed.
Serves as the SharePoint content manager for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
Compose and reviews written materials to ensure conformity with guidelines, written directives, and factual accuracy in data.
Re-writes, expands, or clarifies materials in the interest of accuracy and clarity, and conveys the appropriate information to the intended audience.
Composes, edits, clarifies, and maintains policies, procedures, and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned as associated with this job classification.
Interprets issuances and presentations
Creates and implements policy-related communication strategies.
Requirements:
US citizen
Section 508 policy experienced
SharePoint Content Manager experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
6 or more years of specialized experience that is directly related to the position and has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful in this role
Experience in composing, editing, clarifying, and maintaining policies, procedures, regulations, interpretive issuances, and presentations, creating, and implementing policy-related communication strategies
