Overview
As an Executive Assistant with FedWriters, you will play a vital role supporting executive leadership at the United States Space Force Space Systems Command. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to showcase your exceptional administrative talents while directly contributing to the success of cutting-edge space operations.
This position will be on-site at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, the work schedule will be Monday - Friday, working standard business hours.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the point of contact for the United States Space Force Command (SSC) taskers utilizing the Task Management Tool (TMT)
- Planning and administering meetings and prepare meeting minutes
- Assisting the Front Office Group (FOG) with daily administrative operations
- Assisting with schedule administration; front-desk administration; and the organization of office equipment, supplies, files, etc.
- Assisting in managing the front-desk area; routing the PSM and FOG's phone calls; organizing and scheduling meetings, conferences, and appointments; and maintaining contact lists
- Producing and distributing high-quality correspondence, assisting in the preparation of reports, developing and maintaining a filing system, and serving as the POC for SSC taskers
- Performing information management tasks, including the management of paper and electronic files and documentation
- Ordering and tracking office supplies
- Booking PSM and FOG travel arrangements and reconcile and submit expense reports
- Providing general support to visitors, completing and routing visitor clearance requests, and obtaining temporary badges for visitors
- Satisfying preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, and maintaining equipment inventories
- Performing other administrative and human resource duties as needed
Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Experience processing and working with tasks
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Experience performing procedural and administrative office work, such as preparing and editing documents; maintaining files and records; making and preparing travel arrangements; and performing research for reports, inquiries, and nontechnical correspondence
- Experience preparing and reviewing correspondence, screening telephone calls and visitors, and maintaining calendars for executives
- Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization
- Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills
- Experience supporting office operations and producing a variety of documents, such as memos, form letters, reports, spreadsheets, and briefing charts
- Ability to type 50 to 80 words per minute
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Strong customer service skills and friendly, professional phone manners
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with Tasker Management Tool (TMT)
- Experience with the Defense Travel System (DTS)
