Job Description

Responsible for the development of engineering masters/manufacturing instructions using manufacturing engineering practices. Managing new manufacturing processes.

§  Participate in concurrent engineering design reviews.

§  Manage manufacturing projects and optimize manufacturing processes.

§  Maintain procedures with regard to product testing, troubleshooting product malfunctions, new product development and implementation into the manufacturing process, and to assure that quality control standards are achieved on finished products.

§  Collaborate with Fein Engineering regarding future projects, as well as participating in project management and quality control meetings.

§  Communicate with foreign vendors regarding designing, quality and production of new part samples, resolution of current and past problems.

§  Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices or if specialized tooling test equipment is required.

§  Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.

§  Design and procure tools/equipment.

§  Write appropriation requests.

§  Evaluate and solve production problems.

§  Prepare/manufacture prototypes as required utilizing the principals of concurrent engineering.

§  International travel

§  Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering.

A minimum 5 years work experience in Industrial Engineering in a manufacturing environment.

Software Knowledge: Pro-E CAD and SAP

Basic computer programming

Worked in a team atmosphere working environment

Knowledge of cutting tool functions a plus

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment will be frequently changing due to the aspects of traveling to different locations.
