What are the responsibilities and job description for the REGISTERED NURSE position at Felician University?
The position of the skills lab RN in the Toscano Nursing Resource and Simulation Center (NRSC) is a full time position. The skill lab RN provides support to the Director in assisting students with skills practice and computer use, maintaining proper inventory and monitoring use of equipment and supplies, and setting up and distributing materials for clinical lab experience as required by the faculty.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting up the Nursing Resource Center and distributing materials for clinical laboratory experience, organizing and maintaining furnishings, supplies and equipment for the NRSC, assisting students with skills practice and computer use, assisting faculty with student learning experiences, assisting with workshops and skill demonstration, maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies, coordinating with the director in preparing and processing orders for replenishment of supplies and equipment, monitoring use of supplies and equipment by students and faculty in the NRSC, maintaining accurate student practice records/files as needed.
Essential Qualifications
BSN degree required;
Current New Jersey RN license;
Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience;
Previous Precepting And/or Teaching Experience
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Application (Word and Excel), Internet and e-mail tasks;
Strong sense of professional commitment as demonstrated through membership and/or participation in professional organizations such as the New Jersey State Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, as well as professional certifications.
