What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Expert position at Fellowship Recovery LLC?
Fellowship Recovery is an Intensive Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) provider in Minneapolis MN. We are seeking a billing expert who can hit the ground running. Experience working at new providers is a plus! This position has the opportunity to work from home 60% of the time and work in our offices 2 days per week.
Duties include:
- Investigate and resolve unpaid claims for substance use disorder claims, ensuring payment is received from all applicable insurance companies.
- Thoroughly investigate each claim and execute appropriate steps to correct, resolve, or appeal.
- Resolve inquiries from external and internal sources.
- Maintain an excellent understanding of insurance rules and billing rules related to substance use disorder claims.
- Investigate and resolve claim projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours: Flexible
Monday - Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a leadership role within an accounts receivable revenue cycle department
- Self-starter, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills a must
- High level of ownership of the total billing process
- Experience working with credentialing process a huge plus!
- Collections and customer service experience; insurance billing follow-up experience;
- Experience working with Procentive
- High school graduate or above.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort working with changing demands and priorities.
