What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCB Designer position at Fender?

We are looking for a PCB Designer to work on our Electronics R&D team (amps). You will have the opportunity to learn from existing products, but also help to chart the course for future technology-based products. The candidate needs to be a self-starter, with a proven ability to continuously learn on their own.
About the Job:
- Responsible for supporting Hardware Engineers with the design of printed circuit boards
- Detailed review and quality control of all PCB designs released to manufacturing
- Quote and order of prototype circuit boards
- Revision of PCB related documentation during engineering change implementation
- Organizes and maintains PCB libraries
- Documents and enforces best practices and company standards for PCB designs
What You Need:
- At least 5 years of experience laying out electronic circuit boards using PCB software
- Extensive experience with Mentor/Siemens PADS layout. Additional experience with Altium is a plus.
- Knowledge of the latest materials and processes used in volume PCB manufacture
- Extensive experience creating CAD parts and maintaining component libraries.
- Thorough attention to detail in layout work and documentation
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks with aggressive schedule deadlines.
- Positive “can-do” attitude.
- High School Diploma, college engineering courses a plus
- IPC CID certified
