Job Description:
Ferguson is the largest wholesale distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings in the U.S. The company is also a major distributor of HVAC equipment, fire protection systems, waterworks and industrial products and services. Ferguson and its subsidiaries serve customers in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Showroom Sales Manager in our Daphne, AL Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Showroom .
This showroom is approximately 4,000 square feet . The Showroom Manager role will have oversite of 4 associates and will lead the showroom sales team and coordinators.
Responsibilities
Work with a wide range of customers, including builders, designers, and homeowners, to sell a variety of products including lighting, appliances, and high-end fixtures
Develop and maintain a sales and marketing plan for the showroom, including showroom events
Maintain and develop a productive team by hiring, training and providing professional development
Work with Outside Sales Manager to secure and maintain showroom and builder business
Budget process activities, review and handle expenses
Assist customers, both by appointment and walk-ins
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, address and resolve customer complaints
Attend industry events and/or meetings to be the representative of Ferguson locally
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree is recommended, however, equivalent work experience will be considered
Prior sales leadership experience is ideal coupled with sales and customer service experience
Proven industry experience in Plumbing Fixtures, Lighting and/or Appliance Retail Sales is a plus
Ability to work across department lines, manage time and people
Ability to initiate and adopt change, mentoring skills and desire to train others
The ability to take care of a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge
