We are seeking a Superintendent to work at our Freeport/Augusta, Maine Region.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster a work environment where employee safety is a core goal and safety is integrated in all work activities

- Provides prompt, efficient, courteous service to both internal and external customers.
- Lead and direct employees in the planning and execution of construction projects with an emphasis on safety, compliance, performance, and customer satisfaction
- Ensures Company policies and procedures are followed.
- Develop and implement construction management and quality control processes to ensure all design requirements and applicable codes are followed during construction
- Controls expenditures in area of responsibility.
- Work directly with Planning, Safety, and Compliance Teams to ensure the timely construction of pipeline infrastructure and facilities
- Develop and train employees to excel in coordinating construction and maintenance projects.
- Handles employee time slips, vacations, sick leave, and other work relationships of employees.
- Effectively and efficiently manages Company resources.
- Serves as a role model in support of the desired Ferreira culture.
- Supports and develops the skills and abilities of Ferreira employees; effectively guides and manages employees’ performance; motivates others to optimize performance; effectively delegates assignments to employees.
- Serve in a team environment to develop and improve processes to continuously improve
Knowledge and Skills:
- Five years’ experience in distribution gas pipeline construction, safety & gas operator qualifications (OQ’s)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong information management skills and experience
- Strong background in construction management processes, and pipeline and facility construction
- Experience in allocating resources to meet schedule and budget goals
- Critical thinking skills; ability to analyze, develop action plans, and solve complex issues
- Ability to devote sufficient time to manage job duties and be available during core operating hours to oversee areas of responsibility, meet business needs and meet the needs of customers (internal and external).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail.
EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM THE JOB which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Ability to work with specific computer software/hardware: PC and Printers.
- Ability to operate: P.C., copier, fax, calculator.
Education and Work Experience:
- In lieu of degree, equivalent work experience will be considered
- Experience with and working knowledge of the construction, maintenance, and operation of pipeline systems
- NGA Operator Qualified or equivalent
