ENGINEERING SUPPORT SUMMARY:
You will be responsible for reading shop drawings, in order to create a detailed list of parts for any given fixture. The part list must be accurate and have enough information to enable the production teams to successfully produce the high end architectural millwork products that Fetzer is known for. You will work on a wide variety of products for a diverse range of clients. Must have proficient computer skills; AutoCAD experience is a plus. There is a consistent schedule and competitive pay in a clean and organized environment. All necessary training will be done at the facility by knowledgeable and friendly staff members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Engineering Support include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Study shop drawings, in order to create a part list.
Answer questions from, CNC programmers and the production teams.
Calculate materials required and enter that into inventory planning software.
Prepare paperwork (drawings, part lists, material pick lists, etc.) for production.
Perform material take off (estimate how much material a job will require).
Key contributor to beautiful and unique products installed around the world.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings and architectural drawings.
Attention to detail and proficiency with numbers/basic math skills.
Ability to operate AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or MasterCam preferred.
Educational/Professional Work Experience for Engineering Support:
Woodworking experience a plus.
Understanding of milling techniques, and shop machine terminology a plus.
