This position will be a part of our Human Resources Department and will be responsible for all payroll-related processing activities as assigned by the Payroll Manager. This position will have a Hybrid work schedule with a combination of working from home and on-site. Candidate must reside within commuting distance to either our San Diego, CA, Irving, TX, or Arlington, VA corporate offices. Job Duties: Assist in ensuring accurate and timely production of the payroll functions; oversee and participate in the review, verification, auditing, and processing of payroll forms, records and documents. Run, review, and analyze payroll and tax data reports Coordinate auditing, record-keeping and reporting functions to ensure proper application, calculation and reporting of payroll data, benefits and taxes Assists in the preparation of year end W-2s or other related tax filings or reports. Ensures that mandatory and voluntary withholdings and deductions are accurately calculated and reported. Assists Payroll Manager with conducting research and analyzing legislative changes Assists employees or managers with questions about payroll policies and pay discrepancies. Maintains payroll related files and records. Completes company required training by established deadline. Complies with all Fairfield standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state and federal laws. Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned. Experience and Education: 5 years of Payroll related experience required with an understanding of Accounting High School Diploma or equivalent required, College Degree preferred Experience processing payroll for 1000 associates Experience with payroll in multi-state jurisdictions Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines Performs work under minimal supervision. Experience preparing documentation for external audit requests Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to teammates. Computer applications for payroll and auditing functions, general data processing terminology and capabilities. Workday Payroll experience a plus Competencies: Customer service skills. Ability to follow directions. #LI-LISA Estimated Rate of Pay: $78,750.00 - $96,250.00 This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary. The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
