IT Project Manager:
The Project Manager manages all aspects of IT projects, including planning, executing and allocating resources, driving projects to completion on time, within budget, and within scope. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible, anticipating and managing potential challenges, while maintaining multiple project schedules and budgets.
As a Project Manager you are a highly organized and motivated individual. You take direction well but are also an independent self-starter. You will effectively manage multiple priorities, meet established deadlines, while simultaneously building strong collaborative relationships with your colleagues. Strong attention to detail, working well under pressure, adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment, and ability to amicably resolve conflicts are key attributes you must possess.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, project tasks and resource requirements
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures and report on their results.
- Define the project scope and deliverables
- Manage project budget, timelines, and resource allocations
- Prepare project status reports and other project documentation as required
- Lead software delivery and implementation planning
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
- Proactively collaborates with project team to ensure quality, on-time delivery of projects.
- Liaisons with approved vendors, where applicable, for the flawless execution of projects
- Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and collaborate with appropriate team members to resolve
- Maintains quality by enforcing PM standards and seeking opportunities to improve
- Lead meetings and distributes minutes where required.
- Plan and oversee the preparation of project communication
- Partners with IT Business Partners to keep all stakeholders engaged and informed about project status
- Complete administrative work as required to support projects.
- Gain knowledge of the food production industry and business environments
Required Ingredients
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science/ Information Technology or a related field of study
- 5 plus years’ experience as an IT Project Manager in a software and hardware development environment
- Experience with SAP implementations
- PMP Certification would be an asset
- Hands-on experience in working with Project management tools such as MS-Project, Visio, etc.
- Technical experience in an IT Department
- Experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset
