What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Content Strategist position at Fidelity Investments Careers?
Job Description:
Join our Content Strategy team to produce a range of ideas that solve complex consumer problems. Lead Fidelity’s Life Insurance content design capabilities in collaboration with the Product Marketing, User Experience Design, and Media. Craft and implement a new content strategy that elevates our life insurance products and builds upon our human-centered design principles. Bring your content ideas to life through mobile, web, and cross-channel communications to connect our story.
As a category, life insurance is in a period of reimagining. There’s a movement happening to make coverage more human, accessible, and meaningful. We’re exploring features that provide virtual support, tools to help our customers plan better, and demonstrate protection needs over time. Come build the evolution of the category at Fidelity.
In this role, you will:
- Connect content to culture, behaviors to habits, and motivations to results. Create content that enables better decisions, deliver novel recommendations that feel attainable, and design the actions that make them second nature.
- Create the strategic vision for how Fidelity communicates, appears, and delivers the principals of life insurance. Define the tone, creative strategy, and conceptual executions.
- Collaborate with UXD, Product Marketing, and Tech teams to remove the friction from researching, planning, and protection.
- Simplify complicated topics to sound more like dinner conversation, not a whitepaper.
- Conduct research with Consumer Insights to discover the right problems to solve, developing solutions that are consumer obsessed.
- Present new ideas, new concepts, and ways to improve our offering. Your inventiveness is your superpower.
Does this sound like you?
- You’re curious by nature. “Why?” is normally your first question or thought.
- You nerd out about frameworks, color-coded taxonomies, and complex user flows that are simplified into beautiful/usable documentation.
- You’re writing chops are expert. Wordle is no match for you and disputes are settled with games of Scrabble.
- You have 3 to 5 years of strategy, planning, and/or UX writing experience.
- You can share a portfolio of frameworks, headlines, action prompts, and educational content.
- You have experience working in an agile environment, closely collaborating with designers, researchers, and developers.
- Your tools of choice are Mural, Figma, Sketch, whiteboards with markers, and anything else that invites collaboration.
- You have a background or interest in marketing, psychology, or behavioral sciences.
