Vice President, Architecture

The Role

In this Architect role within Fidelity’s Application Architecture (FAA) business unit, you are responsible for driving technology strategy and architecture for enterprise content management (ECM) as a core and common capability.

You provide leadership to define the customer and associate experience working with unstructured content through architecture designs, adoption of emerging standards, and collaboration with key partners. You will operate at a product area level providing technical leadership and architecture, which support content and records management programs and projects for FAA’s business partners. The role also requires collaboration and interaction opportunities with architects across the firm in forums like TAGx as well as external to Fidelity (e.g. industry consortia and solution/vendor interactions). You will also take a leadership role in establishing a multi-year blueprint for ECM domain and roadmaps for the associated IT Product Lines and IT Products.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, et c.) required
• Experience in enterprise content and records management
• Experience with Financial Services and Corporate Systems
• Excellent presentation, documentation, communication and influencing skills as well as skills for influencing technology direction in business context
• A track record of critical problem solving and advanced technical troubleshooting to drive resolution to technical issues
• Thought leadership in recommending strategic technology options and technology product strategy
• Experience in proposing blueprints and roadmaps, and collaboratively defining solutions and their enabling architectures
• Demonstrated SaaS and IaaS design and implementation experience, including properly handling confidential and highly confidential data
• Experience driving adoption of enterprise standards and standard methodologies
• Knowledge of continuous delivery practices.
• Experience in Amazon services, such as EKS, EC2, and S3
• Background in development - experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, REST Services
