Job Description:

We are looking for people who are passionate about generating business insights that help teams develop and improve the quality and efficiency of key service and operational processes. Do you enjoy analyzing business processes and using your data and visualization skills to help the business improve those processes? Bring your analysis and data skills along with your strong communications skills to Fidelity’s Personal Investing (PI) business!

This position could base in our offices in any of the following locations: Smithfield, RI, Merrimack, NH, Durham, NC, Westlake, TX, Salt Lake City, UT, Jacksonville, FL, Denver, CO or Covington, KY. We would also consider 100% remote location for the right candidate.

  • Demonstrated ability in analysis, data management and data integration
  • Power user of Tableau, Alteryx, and other sophisticated analysis tools

The Purpose of Your Role

Your role will be to work with business unit partners to provide reports, visualizations, and analyses to better understand their businesses and identify key areas of opportunity to improve the customer experience, department efficiencies, and the overall business effectiveness of the unit. You’ll help gather their needs, you’ll find and organize relevant data, you’ll analyze the data and build extraordinary visualizations to fulfill their needs, and you’ll spend time with partners to educate them on the data, so they can use it for realizing real business value!

The Skills You Bring

  • Your strength in partnering with business colleagues, understand the business being served and apply insights and solutions that enable the business to successfully achieve its goals and objectives.
  • Your business experience working with client facing businesses via call center, back office operations, and/or investor centers.
  • Your skills in data analysis, migration, modeling and Alteryx and Tableau data visualization tools
  • Your experience with other tools such as D3, R, AWS Redshift, Python and SQL will be a plus.
  • Your exceptional analytical skills and use of root cause analysis and diagnostics.
  • Your exceptional interpersonal skills including written, verbal and technology illustrations.
  • Your ability to apply process improvement methodologies to identify improvement opportunities.

The Value You Deliver

  • Providing detailed data analysis that results in key reporting for leadership, including functional, operational and field based leaders.
  • Supporting ad-hoc analysis to provide intelligence and insights around areas of improvement that will result in higher customer and associate satisfaction, better execution and efficiency and reduced costs across PI.
  • Using sophisticated tools and technology to bring extraordinary data analytic approaches to PI
  • Providing highly engaging data visualizations that showcase key performance insights as well as ad-hoc analysis for business focused perspective on outlier behavior, degrees of variance in performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting PI prioritized scrum projects to provide data and measurement around use cases and realized results.
  • Promoting a data driven culture for transparency & accountability to help identify and prioritize performance, process and execution related issues.
  • Introducing benchmarked quality metrics and implementing a clear plan to get to world class delivery.

How Your Work Impacts the Organization

The Business Intelligence & Insights team plays a key role in helping the key departments in Personal Investing (Call Center & Branch teams, Finance, Operations, Digital, Human Resources) manage and transform their businesses by providing them superior analytical support. As an analyst in the department, you will use data to help them understand the current state of their business processes, and analyze those processes by gathering relevant data and working with the partners to understand the health of the current process as well as the key opportunities for improvement. Your work will enable meaningful decisions that directly increase Fidelity’s key results – the quality of our customer experience, our associate experience, and the operational perfection we strive for in our business units.
