The Team

Asset Management Risk provides direction to management and business units by proactively identifying and monitoring risks to protect the interests of the firm, clients, and associates. To execute this goal, Asset Management Risk is responsible for identifying, analyzing, aggregating, and reporting on significant and emerging risks to assist management in improving their controls, processes and continuity of business and IT operations.

The Position

The Risk Analyst role is a highly visible and fast paced role with exposure across enterprise and the Asset Management business lines. This role will provide subject matter expertise and continuity and recovery principles, critical thinking on risk assessments, auditing and reporting, and program governance.

Additional responsibilities include participating in an on-call rotation, developing business and technology recovery plans. Further, this role will assist in the auditing of information barriers between business units and support the disaster recovery testing of AM’s technology.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated commitment and passion for risk management, asset management, and academic/or work experience in related markets or fields. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent SQL, programming, and data visualizations skills. Strong communication, presentation and writing skills are also an important success factor. This role requires someone who is hard working, hungry to learn and achievement- and results-oriented.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required
  • In depth knowledge of data analysis techniques and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Experience in business continuity, disaster recovery and/or risk management
  • Experience in Asset Management and/or Investment Management Technology
  • Experience in Operations, Operational Risk, Risk Oversight and/or IT audit
  • Experience in developing and maintaining performance indicators and risk indicators

The Value You Deliver

  • Perform proactive and targeted data analysis to identify risks for management.
  • Perform ad-hoc quality control reviews for presentations and reports built by the team to ensure the integrity of the materials.
  • Partner with business units to ensure that controls are working as intended and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processing.
  • Supporting the advancement of the Asset Management Resiliency program by working across Asset Management business units and technology teams
  • Coordinating recovery testing of critical applications, infrastructure and databases to prove recovery capabilities
  • Help mitigate business and technology disruptions, and business impact analysis as part of an on-call rotation
  • Represent Asset Management-specific and firm-wide continuity initiatives, policies, processes and procedures
  • Liaise with all divisions across Fidelity including: AM Tech, Enterprise Cyber Security, Real Estate, Global Security, Enterprise Business Resiliency, and Enterprise Infrastructure support teams
  • Proactively identify, champion and implement solutions for process improvement and increased efficiencies
