JOB SUMMARY
The Category Insights Analyst supports Insights Teams with the development actionable insights related to category and brand performance through regular reporting and analysis, including category performance reports, analysis of current market trends, and development of tools to support our products in market.

DEPARTMENT: Marketing
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for the Insights team in mining various, syndicated data sets to provide insights into the shopping and consumption patterns for our brands and products
- Support quarterly business reviews for key brands in order to develop key learnings and plan optimization opportunities
- Develop reporting solutions in IRI to support sales, marketing, and innovation teams with fact-based selling stories relevant to their business
- On time and complete delivery of selling stories to the sales and marketing teams
- Monthly update of category performance review for Upstate NY, Michigan, and Ohio teams
- Support of analysis and report generation for quarterly business review meetings with brand teams
- Manage billing and PO process as it relates to data contracts
- Assist with monthly IRI new item coding
- Creation and management of IRI dashboards and reporting to provide topline performance information to sales, brand, and innovation teams
- Proactively identify both opportunities and obstacles to drive our performance in market
- Support Insights team with ad hoc IRI analysis as needed
- Actively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environment
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years of performing data analysis, preferably with beer or consumer packaged goods
- Proficient in Excel as well as syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to distill information effectively to various audiences
