GENERAL FUNCTION: The Director I, Private Bank provides direction and strategy for the Private Bank sales activities. Responsible for a market with new Private Bank sales of up to two million. Directs the activities of the Private Bank IC and RM staff. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: . Develops and implements the Private Bank sales strategy. . Manages the IC and RM staff, assigns sales territories, and monitors sales expenses. . Involved in negotiating and closing sales with the largest and/or most valued high net worth personal clients. . Responsible for management sales reporting. . Maintains a high level of knowledge about investments and other trust products. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth ;developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: . Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree desirable . Minimum 8 -10 years experience in the financial services industry with proven sales experience . Life and health preferred . Formal Credit training or 7-10 years experience in granting credit to affluent individuals or small-to-medium sized businesses. . Prior management experience desired . Possesses strong communication skills and has a good working knowledge of the Company's products and services. . Has a high level of knowledge concerning investments and financial markets. . This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). The NMLS web site (mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position. WORKING CONDITIONS: .
