GENERAL FUNCTION: Supports the Credit Risk organization in advancing risk management, structure, processes, and tools. Prepares materials for internal and external reporting and other communications. Partners with a variety of internal stakeholders regularly, both within Risk and other teams, including Credit Risk Review, Credit Solutions, Enterprise Risk, Middle Market, Compliance, etc.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Builds effective working relationships with the leadership team, LOB partners, and other stakeholders.
• Assists Credit Risk Management leadership with the development of strategies and the implementation of policies and procedures to increase effectiveness and efficiency related to management of Credit Risk.
• Develops and implements operating rhythms, processes and procedures for preparation and communication of materials and reporting relating to Credit Risk management.
• Stays informed of industry best practices and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, standards, and internal requirements, including but not limited to OCC Heightened Standards.
• Identifies and communicates potential policy and/or operational improvements that will reduce expenses and/or increase productivity or efficiency.
• Provides relevant expertise and analysis to stakeholders related to the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of Credit Risk.
• Assists in development and delivery of Credit Risk reporting, communications, and training.
• Performs special projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree in relevant field preferred.
• 3-5 years' banking experience preferred, particularly within a credit function.
• Ability to understand complex issues and develop targeted strategies to meet departmental goals.
• Strong organization and time management skills, with demonstrated accountability and follow-through on a variety of tasks and competing priorities.
• Strong analytical skills, including data-driven decision making.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, including verbal and written communication and group presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data and determine next steps independently.
• Demonstrated ability to work with significant volumes of data in various formats and databases.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and understand various applications and business intelligence/database tools.
• Ability to adapt to changes quickly and work effectively under pressure.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
• Extended time at desk and/or viewing computer screen.
