GENERAL FUNCTION:
The MD, Asset Based Lending role focuses on originating, structuring and documenting/closing Asset Based Lending opportunities throughout the organization primarily through external bank channels (Direct prospect calling, Sponsors, Advisors, Intermediaries and other referral sources). Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. Reporting to the Group Head Asset Based Lending, the MD - Asset Based Lending will have primary responsibility for generating new business volume and leading a deal team of dedicated professionals on behalf of Fifth Third Bank within an assigned territory. The deal team will be responsible for pitching, structuring, underwriting and executing Asset Based transactions across the entire Fifth Third Commercial Bank platform.
