What are the responsibilities and job description for the Partnerships Associate position at Figment?
About the Role
This role will support the Head of Corporate Development & Partnerships across a wide range of cross-functional initiatives. In regards to corporate development, this role will be focused on inorganic growth including but not limited to M&A, strategic investing, portfolio management, new product expansion, international growth and more. On the partnerships side, this person will be focused on the activation of existing partners and acquisition of new ones. You will work closely with all cross functional team members to ensure Figment is global the staking leader.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Partnerships
- Support all new partner acquisition by managing our target pipeline, developing relationships and preparing proposals
- Develop a deep understanding of the needs of our partners to help guide our product roadmap to deliver the best results for our partners and institutional token holders.
- Coordinate with internal teams to successfully onboard new networks for existing Partners
- Support successful cross-functional communication on key information surrounding updates and impacts to our partners
- Collaborate with marketing, sales engineering,and product management to facilitate new programs, messages, marketing collateral, staking guides, campaigns, and events that differentiate our offering to our existing partners and to acquire new partners
- Understand the competition in target markets and monitor competitive activities with our partners and proactively communicate to internal teams
- Ensure that accurate and complete information is captured in our internal tools including our CRM, new partner acquisition, partner cheat sheet, partner scorecards, monitoring sales performance, etc.
- Corporate Development
- Analyze and create business plans for buy/build/partner growth opportunities. Quickly be able to decipher which opportunities should be pursued, prioritized and resourced.
- Develop perspectives on key competitors, relative strengths/weaknesses, and implications for Figment through monitoring industry developments, startup activity and the competitive landscape in conjunction with our product team
- Engage with potential targets and maintain strong relationships with companies and investment bankers.
- Conduct rigorous analysis to provide detailed guidance and insights regarding potential acquisitions to be presented to senior leadership and the board of directors.
- Support portfolio companies with integrations to Figment, corporate strategy, customer introductions, and more
Requirements:
- Strong communication, relationship and partnership management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- A focus on action and the ability to handle ambiguous problems in a short period of time
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first and fast paced environment
- An understanding of financial markets and/or digital assets a significant plus

Base Salary: The CAD base salary range for this position is CAD $105,000 - $135,000. The US base salary range for this position is USD $105,000 - $135,000. This range reflects base salary only, and does not include additional compensation or benefits. For candidates in other countries, the pay range will be disclosed upon your first interview with Figment (being a globally remote company, the list of salary ranges would simply be too long to note here!). The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across all Canada or the US. A candidate’s specific pay within the range will be determined by various factors including job-related skills, relevant education, and training.
