TITLE: Transportation Dispatcher (Spanish / English Required)

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

JOB FUNCTION:

Perform Dispatching and Clerical support for Dispatch Department

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

∙ Maintains an accurate Daily Attendance Roster/Submit Attendance Sheets

At times assist with various clerical duties.

∙ Assures up-to-date route sheet for each scheduled route.

∙ Assures that each scheduled route is appropriately covered by utilizing available substitute drivers/assistants.

∙ Utilize dispatch software to assist with daily operations.

∙ Maintains cordial working relationships with assigned drivers and assistants.

∙ Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of all facets of driver and driver assistant duties.

Be able to quickly relay important information.

∙ Ensures that drivers and driver assistants clock their times accurately

∙ Communicate with department employees, dispatching to needed locations to respond to emergency situations.

∙Maintain current knowledge of routes and locations to assure timely services and accurate information.

∙Communicate with parents, supervisors, school administrators and department employees; receive requests, questions, concerns and suggestions and provide routine information and assistance or route to appropriate personnel.

∙ Operate standard office machines/ cellphone.

∙ Modern office practices, procedures and equipment.

Google drive knowledge (Gmail, Google Sheets, etc)

∙ Basic record-keeping techniques.

∙ Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.

∙ Telephone techniques and etiquette. Speak clearly and distinctly.

∙ Perform dispatching and clerical support duties for assigned department.

∙ Learn and apply applicable department rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

∙ Health and safety regulations.

∙ Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.

∙ Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

∙ High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.50 per hour
