Reverse Mortgage Educator

The Reverse Mortgage Educator is the first contact with potential borrowers over the phone. They are responsible for generating rapport and interest with the potential borrower. The expectation is to have a general conversation with the potential borrower about their goals and their situation. The Reverse Mortgage Educator is also responsible for verifying the general information of the potential borrower and answering any general questions the potential borrower may have. The Reverse Mortgage Educator is responsible for transferring the potential borrower to a licensed Reverse Mortgage Specialist to cover any and all program specific topics.

EXPECTATIONS

• Calls through the lead queues daily, at least 200 dials or 4 hours of talk time per day.
• Makes two good discoveries per day.
• Properly uses Velocify.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Follows all compliance procedures.
• Educates potential borrowers on the Reverse Mortgage by answering general questions.
• Transfers to licensed Loan Originator when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION - REQUIRED

• High School Diploma

EDUCATION - PREFERRED

• BA - Bachelor of Arts

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• At least 1 year of inside sales experience
• Highly organized
• Multi-tasking and prioritization skills necessary
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints
• Ability to organize and coordinate projects
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to adapt to change quickly
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal skills and must be a team player
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
