Our client is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant for their Commercial Real Estate practice group. The ideal candidate would process the following qualifications:
- Associates degree or Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
- Experience in a closing attorney's firm required preferred
- Title insurance knowledge
- Experience with SoftPro preferred
Other Qualifications:
- Proficient and accurate typing skills required with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer and communication skills are a must
- Able to maintain confidential information
- Attention to detail
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist closing paralegals and attorneys as needed in all phases of a busy commercial real estate practice, including proper file indexing of documents and emails
- Order title work, payoffs, zoning letters, tax bills, and any other documentation needed for closings
- Preparation of engagement letters and conflict waivers
- Opening of new files
- Scheduling with clients, sellers, agents, lenders and vendors to process closings
- Prepare closing documents for execution
- Prepare post-closing transcripts
- Process executed closing documents
- Obtain and record mortgage satisfactions
- Other administrative tasks for the real estate team (including billing, processing invoices and reminder statements)
