What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analytical Lab Chemist - FULL TIME ( ON SITE ) position at Fine Metals Recycling?
We are seeking an individual to be part of a global fine metal refining and recycling operation. This person will be an integral part of our company culture. We are quickly changing and growing globally and need a dynamic, flexible, and knowledgeable individual who wants to be part of our culture while focusing on the work it takes to keep everything on track.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analysis using specified techniques
- Perform wet chemical analysis tests
- Fully load and unload high-temperature furnaces with fusion and cupellation samples
- Hammering fusion samples
- Conduct R&D
- Follow QAQC protocol
- Operate and maintain instruments/equipment such as ICP, XRay, and Furnace
- Data entry and ability to interpret analytical results/data
- Assist in maintaining and cleaning of the lab instruments and equipment
- Act as a backup when team members are not present
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Experience in wet chemistry and operation of ICP-OES
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements:
- Necessity to stand continually through an entire shift
- Ability to wear a respirator during parts of the day (this means you must be clean-shaven)
