Analytical Lab Chemist - FULL TIME ( ON SITE )

We are seeking an individual to be part of a global fine metal refining and recycling operation. This person will be an integral part of our company culture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analysis using specified techniques

• Perform wet chemical analysis tests

• Fully load and unload high-temperature furnaces with fusion and cupellation samples

• Hammering fusion samples

• Conduct R&D

• Follow QAQC protocol

• Operate and maintain instruments/equipment such as ICP, XRay, and Furnace

• Data entry and ability to interpret analytical results/data

• Assist in maintaining and cleaning of the lab instruments and equipment

• Act as a backup when team members are not present

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

• Experience in wet chemistry and operation of ICP-OES

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

• Necessity to stand continually through an entire shift

• Ability to wear a respirator during parts of the day (this means you must be clean-shaven)

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Analytical Chemists: 2 years (Preferred)
