AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN
Job Summary:
Fineline Steel Fabrication has immediate openings for AUTOMATION TECHNICIANS to work at our steel fabrication facility. This position is responsible to operating a work station in conjunction with the automated fabrication line. This is a full-time position, must be able to work overtime as needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, pass a background check and have reliable transportation to get to and from work. Training will be provided.
Qualifications:
- Preferably 2 years of experience in steel fabrication, ideally operating a work station in a fabrication line
- Experience with burn table, shear, press brake and other CNC fabrication equipment
- Basic understanding of NC1, XML and DXF files with knowledge of CAD software
- Maintaining materials and finished products in an orderly fashion
- Reading and understanding fabrication drawings
- Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds and to be on your feet most of the day
- Comprehension of blueprints and welding symbols
- Contributing to general shop upkeep and maintenance
- Willing to help with unloading materials as they come in
- Friendly personality and willing to work as part of a team
- Spanish bilingual is a plus
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check
Work Hours:
Monday-Thursday from 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM. 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime as necessary or until work is completed.
Related Safety Responsibilities:
Must become familiar and compliant with Fineline’s safety program and OSHA regulations. Must maintain fitness level sufficient to handle his/her required work load. Understands, is familiar with, and follows equipment safety requirements. Is always vigilant and aware of his/her own safety as well as the safety of those around him/her.
