What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Media position at Fingerpaint Group?
- Serve as the conduit between the agency's media and analytics functions and the client brand managers andcommercial analytics,maintainingstrongbrand and omnichannelclient relationshipsand ensuring overall satisfaction with the team andagency
- Lead cross-team initiatives, ensuring strategic oversight based on deep knowledge of the brands' business goals and motivating internal teams to meet clients' performanceobjectives
- Collaboratewithextended portfolio team partners within the agency and with partner agencies in thedevelopment of 2025 brand planning
- Communicate broad understanding of client's industry, business, customers, and needstointernal stakeholders and strategists toinformmediaobjectives
- Leadmediastrategy developmentand implementationfor ophthalmologists and optometristsacross search, social, programmatic, and publisher-direct media channels, tailoringrecommendationsfor each segment,enforcing best practices, andfacilitatingoperational excellence on media deliverables andcampaigns
- Development and steward of strategic media and omnichannel insights and thought leadership related to the category and campaign, as well as broadly in the pharmaceutical mediaindustry
- Oversee the media campaign planning process, including RFP development to align brand strategic imperatives to actionable mediaobjectives, partner and programselection, rate negotiations, and performance agreements, projections forecasting of proposed media plan, and final client delivery of a compelling, data-driven strategicrecommendation
- Responsible for campaign performance and outcomes-based analytics, including in-market pacing and progression through the brand adoption continuum and quantifying the impact of media performance to brand goals with actionable observations andinsights
- When necessary, lead the new business RFP process, creating strategicnarratives, developing media strategies, planning channel mixes, andestablishingmeasurementparameters
- Identifyand cultivateopportunities for account growth,leveragingdata and analytics to build compelling businesscases
- Drive professional standards within the team for all client communications,maintainingeffective listening skills, and resolving issuesproactively
- Manageproject budgets, including staffing and resource requirements, and managementofdepartmentresources
- 10 years ofrelevantexperience in leadingpharmaceutical/health & wellnessmedia strategy
- Eyecare experience is preferred,but notrequired
- Ability to be a manager, liaison, thinker, and problem-solver
- Effective presentation, mentorship, and relationship buildingskills
- Proven experience indigital targeting, data privacy, cross-channel engagement strategy, omnichannel activation, and claims-based attribution
- Understand brand fundamentals (positioning, messaging, creative concepts) and how they all worktogether
- Solid understanding of media buying and planning, includingdeep experience with professional media vendors across digital, traditional, and point-of-care
- Strong understanding of media research platforms and tools, such asMediaRadar, Kantar,Mediaocean, and CM360
- Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas toclients,senior executives,and internal teamswith varying levels of mediaacumen
- Strong writing and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectivelyand within tightdeadlines
- Competency in media math,financial management, and performance reporting.Although you can work primarily remote, this role requires the ability to commute into our Cedar Knolls, NJ or Saratoga Springs, NY office as needed.
