Job Description: Now offering a $500.00 Sign-On Bonus to new team members that are hired before July 1st, 2022! New team members will receive $250 after 30 days of employment and an additional $250 after 90 days of employment. Responsible for effectively leading and profitably managing all operational aspects (team, facilities, fleet, inventory, financial management) of assigned Branch in collaboration with Operations Manager. ACCOUNTABILITIES: PROVIDES TEAM LEADERSHIP: In partnership with Operations Manager, effectively leads and manages all activities related to operations team members within assigned area (recruiting, talent management, training and development, coaching and counseling, disciplinary actions). Recruiting and Resources Allocation: Interviewing, selecting, and hiring new team members. Allocates team resources appropriately to ensure the delivery of optimal service to our customers. Talent Management: Ensures the creation and enhancement of a positive and productive work environment. Creates and maintains a team based working environment, where all team members assist each other, help out where needed, and support their team to deliver exceptional service to the customer. Maintains high morale through effective management, including frequent reinforcement of positive behavior and recognition of high performance. Coaches and counsels employees, addresses issues when they arise, and takes appropriate action. Partners with Operations Manager and Human Resources for disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. Mentors direct reports on coaching and counseling practices and ensures accountability. Partners with Operations Manager and Human Resources to review employee compensation changes, adjustments, merit increases, etc. Works within budget guidelines and obtains appropriate approvals. Ensures that team members comply with company practices, processes and processes and takes appropriate action if necessary. Training and Development: Manages the training and development of all branch personnel to maximize their effectiveness/productivity Ensures staff is well trained on operational processes and procedures. Ensures staff learns and utilizes excellent telephone and customer service skills to enhance the customer’s experience. Partners with vendors to provide product training when appropriate. Supports and implement a branch cross training program at each branch. Coaches and mentors direct reports to develop and improve their leadership skills, organizational/time management skills, and enhance their leadership and management skills. Trains and develops direct reports on safety compliance and practices to create and maintain a safe work environment for associates. Safety: Ensures safe working conditions, safe practices and the ongoing delivery of safety training at our locations. Annual Hazmat Training at each branch, and forklift training where we have forklifts, and document the training. MANAGES THE FACILITY, FLEET, INVENTORY, ASSETS AND DOCUMENTATION Facility: Effectively manages the layout and utilization of the facility space. Ensures a clean and organized workspace. Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations. Works with appropriate parties for the upkeep and maintenance of facilities. Fleet: Ensures the proper care and maintenance of fleet vehicles. Inventory: Ensures proper inventory turns to reduce obsolescence and manage working capital invested. Ensures inventory turns are at a level that is cost productive to the locations and ensuring monthly cycle count activity is performed at each branch location per published company schedule. 3nsures that their branches have the “right” inventory at the “right” place at the “right” time in order to reduce un-necessary excess and result in 100% customer order fulfillment. Develops a thorough understanding of safety stock logic as well as all planning parameters of the FMST point of sale purchasing system and performing updates on a consistent basis. Assets and Documentation Responsible for ensuring the security of the branch, inventory and vehicles. Ensures that all processes and procedures are followed and complied with related to branch cash (cash on hand, daily deposits, etc.). PROMOTES COMPANY CULTURE AND LEADERSHIP Creates and maintains strong partnerships with sales team members and vendors to promote and achieve effective communication and collaboration. Maintains positive customer relationships by ensuring exceptional service delivery. Drives company initiatives to improve simplification of stores and removal of non-value added tasks. Continually evaluates operational processes for areas of opportunity. Performs similar and related duties to achieve objectives while using methods consistent with the FinishMaster culture. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience: Mandatory Requirements- 1. High school diploma or GED equivalent with 3-5 years field operations management experience. Preferred Requirements- 1. Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years field operations management experience or 5-7 years of operations management experience (in lieu of a degree). Skills & Abilities: Mandatory Requirements- 1. Team Leadership and Building: Demonstrated ability to motivate, direct, and manage employees in a style or manner consistent with FinishMaster’s culture. 2. Communication: Strong written and verbal communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (WORD, Excel) and previous ERP experience. 3. Strong Execution Skills Experience driving execution successfully and operationalizing talent strategies in an organization recognized for excellence in talent management. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and issues with agility in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment. 4. Analytical: Strong problem solving skills; ability to think strategically and critically in developing solutions to complex problems. Understanding of financial statements (P&Ls) and how to positively affect them through action 5. Organizational Agility: High levels of resourcefulness; knows how to get things done through both formal channels and the informal network. 6. Interpersonal savvy: Able to work cross functionally up and down the organization with proven ability to build relationships, establish trust and credibility. 7. Change agent: Skilled at getting individuals, teams, and an entire organization to perform at a higher level and to embrace change. 8. Mobility: Ability to travel throughout the assigned area of responsibility on a regular basis. 9. Technology aptitude: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (WORD, Excel, Outlook), prior experience with an ERP or Point of Sales System. Preferred Requirements- 1. Prior experience in the automotive PBE aftermarket. Additional preference for experience as an owner or general manager in the automotive PBE aftermarket industry.
