What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Associate/Cashier position at Fiorella's?
Summary of Position:
The Hospitality Associate will be displaying our core values when communicating with the guests and the team. The Hospitality Associate will ensure the guests have an exceptional dining and take-out experience with Fiorella’s. This role is responsible for managing the POS, answering telephone, and taking orders. We will also be serving beer & wine at this location and previous experience as a bartender is a plus!

- Greet guest-personally: learn to recognize regulars and greet all guests with a warm and welcoming smile. Make sure to acknowledge every guest when they walk through the door.

- Validate guest experience by ensuring our guests enjoyed their meals, securing their return.
- Build my legacy at Fiorella’s by making special bonds and memories with our guests and team.
- Communicate efficiently internally and externally to create an exceptional experience for our guests.
- Answer the phone as soon as possible (unless with another guest) in a professional manner in accordance with our phone procedure and restaurant standards. Remember a guest can hear you smile through the phone!
- Adhere to order accuracy standards with every interaction I have with a guest.
- Follow our standards regarding any catering order requests.
- Complete all daily and weekly side work for each shift.
- Accurately and efficiently bag the orders for our guests following our bagging procedure.
- Manage the cash drawer, POS system, and process payments.
- Maintain a general working knowledge of restaurant information such as: restaurant hours, along with the addresses & phone numbers for the other Fiorella’s locations.
- Display teamwork with all positions to adhere to all restaurant standards.
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to the manager on duty.
- Make sure the front of the house is clean and orderly at all times.
- Inform guests of new products, promotions, and specials.
- Enhance the dining experience for our guests by being able to make appropriate suggestions/recommendations with my menu knowledge of each dish (ingredients and preparation).
- Be responsible for supporting and executing Fiorella’s marketing promotions and birthday club.
- Maintain communication among the team in regards to any relevant information or concerns.
- Communicate health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to the supervisor.
- Provide partial table service to on-site guests.
- Adhere to the restaurant guidelines of food, safety, and sanitation provided by the health department.
- Understand all policies, procedures, and service standards of the restaurant.
- Attend all informational and team building meetings to continue expanding my knowledge and skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preparation, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Possess communication skills to create a positive interactions experience with guests
- Having basic writing, reading, math skills, as well as computer and phone proficiency
- Previous restaurant experience is not required
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Be able to bend, reach, stoop and frequently lift to 50 pounds
- Maintain good personal hygiene
- Be able to effectively communicate with guests and staff with consciousness non-verbal language and cues
- Maintain good organizational and time management skills to ensure a quick response to kitchen and guests’ needs
