SUMMARY
Firefly is looking for an experienced trade compliance specialist. You will work with teams from all of our product lines and get hands on to help classify parts of our launch vehicles and spacecraft. You will also work with vendors and customers from across the globe to help import and export parts and technology as needed. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, along with a positive attitude are critical.
*RESPONSIBILITIES

*

  • Stay informed of regulation and statutory changes to ensure currency of company training and active licenses and agreements.
  • Provide timely support to internal points of contact and Firefly Customers regarding submission of licenses and agreements and coordinating Jurisdiction and classification with Legal.
  • Establish and maintain an excellent rapport with government agencies such as DDTC and BIS.
  • Teach, mentor, and manage program license owners to ensure proper import/export execution and record keeping.
  • Attend, as applicable, technical exchanges to ensure compliance with export agreements.
  • Work with Company attorneys to support investigations and possible disclosures.
  • Coordinate with import broker and ensures all imports are properly licensed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years experience with ITAR and EAR
  • Experience with export/import practices and industries practices

Desired

  • Technical and engineering expertise
  • Ability to apply technical and engineering expertise to classify items on the USML and CCL
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexible team player able to work independently with demonstrated attention to detail
