Job Summary
Reviews, analyzes, and ensures the quality of data loaded into database systems. Provides production job support from a quality perspective. Must be able to understand business rules, work with varying data formats, and develop metrics and audit procedures to monitor data quality. Understand, query and manipulate varying data and file formats. Identify, compare, and resolve data quality problems. Evaluate business impact of specific data quality issues. Measure and audit large volumes of varying data for quality issues. Works with multiple groups, including overseas groups, to resolve issues.
Essential Functions
- Utilize tools to analyze, query and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures.
- Performs QC tests (system and visual) to verify data integrity.
- Assist in correcting minor data quality errors.
- Documents and works to resolve basic problems.
- May update/maintain database with reviewed and corrected data.
- Communicate issues to programmers to resolve data quality issues.
- Updates logs, tracks user requests, fulfills basic requests.
- Reviews, analyzes, and ensures the quality of customer data for the purpose of creating new and modified data records with accuracy.
- Must be able to understand varying business rules, work with various data formats, and follow procedures to monitor data quality.
- •Identify, compare, and resolve data quality problems. •Evaluate business impact of specific data quality issues.
- Measure and audit large volumes of varying data for quality issues. •Work with other members of the team, including offshore staff and, if required, external support to resolve configuration issues/questions.
- Undertake root cause analysis to identify underlying problems, diagnose problems and recommend solutions for approval.
- Analyze reports for data duplication and other errors.
- Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data.
- Monitor for timely and accurate completion of requested data creation, modification and deactivation.
- Ensure confidence in data integrity to enable the sales users to identify opportunities.
- Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels in a professional manner
- Adapt well to change with an ability to absorb and retain new information
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, including flexibility to cope with several jobs simultaneously with good organizational skills
- Ability to clean data, format text and identify possible duplicate rows in Excel
- Knowledge of comparing and compiling multiple datasets together with Excel
- Ability to create, modify, and run existing reports in Salesforce
- An understanding of the different standard reports in Salesforces and the fields they contain
- Analyze reports to extract meaningful insights on customer data
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Strong attention to detail and passion for data accuracy
- Empathy for the system users as it relates to customer data within the CRM and its integrated data sources
- Some CRM experience helpful but not required
- Some understanding of system integrations through data identifiers helpful
Typical Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
