What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at First Children Services?

We are currently hiring Behavioral Technicians who are eligible to work in local NJ school districts. These candidates must have a completed Bachelor degree in either Psychology, Social Work, Education, or ABA.
Not only does FCS value your time and pay for training and drive time between clients, FCS has a singular rate for client hours, training and drive time. All of your hours worked are equally valued and equally paid.
What does a BT do? Great question!
*Apply the principals of one-to-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism, developmental delays or other behavioral needs reach their full potential.
* Collecting data, implementing individualized treatment plans and behavioral plans while engaging and building a relationship with your client.
* Collaborate with a team of like-minded individuals who are invested in being a part of “Life Changing Outcomes for Exceptional Kids” to ensure program consistency.
* Support school districts to meet the needs of children with behavioral or developmental needs.
What do you need?
* A bachelor's in education, psychology, social work, education, guidance and counseling or another related field preferred.
* Willingness to learn and receive feedback on performance.
* The ability to problem solve, think on your feet, and ask questions.
* To demonstrate a passion for working with clients with developmental and social challenges
* To be comfortable working in a team environment, or able to function independently, depending on the location of the services.
* Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, willingness to travel (30-40 minutes preferred)

Ability to complete coursework with support to earn your Registered Behavior Technician certification.
