What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at First Federal Bank?
Open to any Florida location.
Support multiple business units, including Capital Solutions and Specialty Banking, by assisting with the implementation and support of business information systems across multiple departments, and applying analytical frameworks for new programs and large commercial credits. Identify problems and opportunities with the Bank and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business goals. Develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure bank data and reporting needs are met.
Essential Functions:
- Complete monthly reporting for business units and Board of Directors.
- Provide commercial loan underwriting support with financial analysis and deal structure.
- Create ad hoc reports for multiple departments, new products, and non-balance sheet commercial loan applicants.
- Maintain and prioritize multiple projects with minimal supervisor.
- Resolve and trouble shoot various reporting issues that arise.
- Research, gather, and define accurate detailed business requirements based on project objectives.
- Communicate and coordinate activities associated with accomplishing the business objective with various resources.
- Represent the business unit to the technology department and their initiatives.
- Provides the best service to our customers with innovative and creative solutions.
Minimum Qualification:
Must have strong analytical skills in order to solve complex and unusual technical and business situations. Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as delivery skills for written specifications, business timelines and presentations. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all staffing levels. Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently. Must have the ability to work accurately and efficiently under intense time pressure. Must be able to maintain planning and organization across multiple projects. Must have the ability to exercise independent judgment in order to manager varied complex projects from inception through completion. Must have the ability to learn quickly and comprehend many technical and business concepts. BA/BS degree in related field preferred. Two plus year's business analyst experience and project leadership experience. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills. Five plus years' experience in field of banking or finance preferred. Extended hours sitting and performing computer tasks may be required.
