First Flight Federal Credit Union. proudly serving our communities for 70 years, is seeking a Full-Time Teller in our New Bern branch. The teller candidate should possess a strong desire to serve our members and embrace our company mission of "helping our members achieve financial success".
A Teller at First Flight is primarily responsible for processing and receiving transactions from members, cross-selling credit union products, and assisting members with account questions and various types of maintenance requests by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
- Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
- Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Orders daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash.
- Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Explains, promotes, or sells products or services such as travelers checks, savings bonds, money orders, and cashier's checks.
- Opens new accounts.
- Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
- Accepts loan payments.
Qualifications:
- While previous teller experience is a plus, candidates with strong customer service and cash handling skills are desired.
- Must have at least 1 year experience in customer facing and cash handling roles.
- Should have proven ability to build customer relationships and cross-sell products based on customer needs.
- Minimum of HS Diploma or Equivalent
