JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will drive our people agenda efforts in a fast-paced environment at an exciting time of rapid growth. You will partner closely with the global Alphabet management team and provide general HR leadership and guidance to managers and employees in the areas of performance management, goal setting, workforce strategy, coaching, staffing issues, employee relations, compensation, and organizational development. This role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to support a geographically diverse and complex client business group with responsibilities over a range of interesting and challenging people initiatives.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


P&C Strategic Advisor

  • As a strategic advisor to the business clients, drive the P&C programs within the business lines in partnership with our P&C teams (Recruiting, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, P&C Operations and Data & Systems). 
  • Partner closely with senior business leaders to establish credibility as a trusted advisor, to influence and support key regional and operational decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategic P&C plans aligned to business strategies/goals.
  • Provide coaching to managers on people and organizational matters.


Employee Engagement, Development & Retention

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Design and manage change management and communications plans
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs; may deliver training programs as needed
  • Develops relationships deep and wide through the business to enable insights on the pulse of the organization.


Talent Programs Driver

  • Lead the development programs across the business including cultivating of talent for future leader roles and facilitating the implementation of individual development plans
  • Ensure employee wellbeing is prioritized in our new ways of working.
  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion goals and push accountability throughout the management teams.
  • Assess employee satisfaction and track trends in employee engagement.
  • Facilitate career management and internal mobility.
  • Work with regional business leaders to build high performing teams, support managers with coaching on employee issues, organizational design, people related strategy and execution.


P&C Policies & Practices /Process & System Management

  • Mitigate risk by ensuring appropriate escalation / investigation of performance, conduct and other ER related matters.
  • Facilitate the adoption of human resource policies and practices and educate leaders and managers regarding P&C capabilities.
  • Ensure that human resources policies and advice to client group is in accordance with employment laws, visa strategies and other relevant best practices.
  • Ensure P&C support is provided in an effective and timely manner with top client service and proactive delivery.


Coaching & Consulting

  • Conduct regular, pro-active meetings with employees, managers, and leaders to develop, assess, and anticipate people related needs.
  • Provide consultative guidance and support to the business as they evolve people practices
  • Acts as a trusted advisor, coach and consultant to leaders and management to improve their leadership capability, team effectiveness, strategic insights and business/talent performance.


KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 8 years of HRBP, HR Generalist or Talent experience.
  • Highly creative and innovative and future thinker on HR trends and approaches.
  • Ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and complexity.
  • Hold high standards of client service and works closely to establish credibility with clients.
  • Strong coaching ability.
  • Collaborative and strong partnering orientation and focus on problem solving to achieve a win-win outcome.
  • Ability to balance employer and employee advocacy.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit advance planning, project and organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with high levels of accountability, and demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to manage workload and achieve results with minimal supervision.
